Fusion can supply the world with reliable, stable clean power that complements existing clean energy sources, while producing only minimal radioactive waste due to the very high power density of the hydrogen isotopes it uses as fuel.
By providing a domestic and virtually inexhaustible energy source, fusion is poised to strengthen the resilience of our energy system. Breakthroughs at UW–Madison are accelerating the timeline for commercial fusion energy, but we need more partners to power our Fusion Future.
