Fusion policy + energy security

Scientists and researchers across campus are investigating the potential challenges and impacts of fusion energy’s role in the transition to safe and reliable energy independence.
Their work assesses challenges, explores solutions, and maps implementation pathways related to energy transition scenarios, nuclear security, nuclear siting, energy justice, science diplomacy, and energy policies.
These researchers span the Nuclear Engineering & Engineering Physics department, the Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies, the Energy Analysis and Policy program, the Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences, and the La Follette School of Public Affairs.
