The Alloy Design and Development Laboratories, or ADD Lab, researches alloy discovery and metal 3D printing for multiple engineering applications.

The ADD Lab can push fusion energy technology forward by researching better materials and more precise manufacturing of components. The lab also contributes to innovations in modeling and understandings of metal microstructural elements that are all critical in the push toward viable, scalable fusion energy commercialization.
